Nissan India has unveiled mid-sized premium sedan Nissan Sunny on August 3, 2011 at an official function held at Hotel Taj in Bandra, Mumbai. The launch is scheduled for this Diwali. The price is expected to remain around Rs 700,000 to Rs 900,000.
Nissan's new CVTC (Continuously Variable-valve Timing Control) engine with ETC (Electronic Throttle Chamber) provides higher levels of mid-range torque for smooth acceleration and brisk response even at high speeds. The interior is refreshingly spacious, while seating provides just the right blend of luxurious texture and firm support.
This will be powered by 1.5 litre Petrol engine. However, there has been no talk of a diesel variant yet. The petrol variant of the Nissan SUNNY will be manufactured at the Renault Nissan alliance Orgadam facility in Chennai.
