Maserati Kubang is a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, one of the world's most respected and prolific car designers. Kubang is a 4x4 grand tourer rather a glorified off-roader, and it will seat four or five passengers depending on the chosen seating arrangement. An extra two rear-facing seats can be added behind the back row enabling it to carry seven in comfort. The rear seats can be folded down to increase the boot capacity from a standard 600 litres to 1500 litres.

Kubang features constant four-wheel drive through a six-speed automatic gearbox. The centre of gravity is some 100mm lower than other SUVs on the market, and this should make the Kubang a sportier drive than most SUVs. It can hustle to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and on to a claimed top speed of 158.5mph.
